The Great Bay Art Association, formerly the Durham Art Association, exists to bring together those who share an active interest in the arts and crafts, to provide opportunities for exhibiting and selling members' work, and to stimulate interest and support of the arts in the community.
Discover Portsmouth Center Exhibit June 2009
The Great Bay Art Association Art Drop Off Date will be Sunday, May 31th from 10am till 5pm. Please let the BOD know or arrange with a member to deliver your work if you can not make it that weekend.
Reception is scheduled for Friday, June 5th. Bring light refreshments, paper cups, plastic utensils, napkins, soda, wine, or dessert items. Let the BOD know what you will bring. There will be no separate pot luck meeting this year.
Member artist demonstration on Sunday, June 7th, 10 am - 5 pm. So if you want to participate in painting that afternoon, sign up even if you are not hanging in the show.
Publicity: Email blast invites to your clients and friends for the show as we get closer to June. Pat is sending out Press Releases now. It will be a wonderful way to promote our new name and get new members. Make a list of people to send out post cards, and to sign up for a committee to share the tasks so it will be easy to get everything done. Let the BOD know what you can do to help the club with this show even if you are not exhibiting.
