May 2008 - DAA Annual Awards Show and Sale
at the Village Goldsmith Gallery in Dover

The Durham Art Association (DAA) is proud to present the Annual 
Awards Show and Sale for 2008 at the Village Goldsmith Gallery
in downtown Dover, NH. This group show will include original 
watercolors, oils, pastels, mixed media, scratchboard, jewelry, 
photography, floor mats, and more by members of the DAA. Artwork 
selected for this free and open to the public exhibit range from 
figurative to abstract to the surreal. Imagery spans portraiture, 
landscape, still life and whimsy.

This is a juried art show open to DAA members composed of a group
of artists, photographers, and artist friends who reside in New 
Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. There are a wide variety of 
styles and a great amount of talent to treat your eyes that comes 
from these local artists. It is a perfect time of the year to purchase
a Mother's Day or Father’s Day gift or just to add an original piece
of artwork to your own collection.

Brown, Esilda Evans Corbin, Pat Francoeur, Darlene Furbush Ouellett, 
DJ Geribo, Bob Goudreau, Bertie Ejarque, Julia Simpson Hackett, Bea 
Hebert, Nancy Hubbe, Nancy Johnson, Harold Kirby, Fay Lee, Nancy 
Nelson, Margaret Twitchell, and Pat Wulfson.

specialist that also offers jewelry restoration and refini, as well 
as exquisite originally designed, handcrafted jewelry by gallery 
owner and artist Jim Livermore.

Delivery time and show details:

Delivery time for the DAA's Annual Awards Juried Show and Sale at
the Village Goldsmith Gallery is Thursday, May 1, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. 
There is an entry fee of $10., which will cover our expenses for
juror, etc.  One painting allowed per artist with a size limit of 18"x24" frame
or equivalent area (the room is not large).  The work should be ready
to hang, with D-ring hangers or screw eyes and wire -NO saw-tooth
central hangers, staples, thumbtacks, etc.!  The art should have
info attached to the back, including: title, medium, size, price, and
the artist's name, address and phone no. 

Dues should be paid (up to date for 2007-08).  If this delivery time is not possible
for some artists, they should make arrangements to drop off their work at the
gallery BEFORE the announced time.  Gallery phone is 742-5230.
